Pin Cushion Sofa

Pin Cushion Sofa

Whether you’re here because of your love of cross stitch or love of your university campus, I’m so glad you’re here!

My name is Jamie, and I love to cross stitch!  When I was a little girl, I’d visit my Mema (a charming name for a southeast Texas grandma), and she’d teach me to cross stitch.

We’d sit on her pastel blue floral sofa as we stitched together.  And when we were done, we’d use the soft arm cushions of the sofa as a pin cushion to safely store our embroidery needles for later use.

When I became an adult, I used cross stitch as a way to give special, homemade gifts and to unwind from the stresses of the day.  Carving out a few minutes each night has been a cathartic release for me, and in the end I have beautiful portraits to show for it.

I’ve always wanted to design my own cross stitch patterns, and for years I’ve found inspiration from Jodi Rice of Satsuma Street.  I’ve done 20 of her cityscapes and have them proudly displayed all over my home.

I’m finally taking my passion for cross stitch and designing my own patterns to share with you!  My focus will be on designing university campuses that you know and love.  They’ll feature prominent buildings & landmarks that serve as a timeless reminder of your own personal memories and experiences.

I want you to choose which campuses I will design!  This link will take you to a poll to cast your vote!

#sewhappy,

🪡 Jamie
